For 2019, the Pokémon Company broke its yearly tradition of 2D animated Pokémon movies and instead remade the very first with CG graphics. For 2020, however, it looks like the studio is going back to the alternate universe that started with Pokémon: I Choose You! back in 2017. Check it out:

Titled Pokémon the Movie: Coco (or Koko), the movie stars an Ash that looks more like the one seen in I Choose You! and The Power of Us rather than the one seen in the on-going anime. It is worth noting, however, that the shrine briefly glimpsed in the trailer looks shockingly similar to the one seen in the Pokémon 4Ever movie.

The movie will release in Japan on July 10th, while the North American Pokémon Twitter account has already tweeted about it, suggesting a western launch is on the cards, too.
