Last August, Level-5 brought a Ni no Kuni movie to Japanese theaters in collaboration with OLM, Inc. and Warner Bros. The film didn’t perform well in its home region, but now it’ll be getting a second chance in the west thanks to a deal with Netflix being struck, meaning North American viewers will be able to watch it starting January 16th.

The Ni no Kuni movie isn’t based on the game which was ported to Switch last year. Instead, it tells a similar story about a group of youngsters travelling to-and-from the real world and a fantasy land. Watch one of the Japanese trailers below:
