Well, this gives a whole new meaning to the name ‘Tony Hawk’ — SkateBIRD is a brand new title from Glass Bottom Games about birds… skating. In little hats. And flappin’ their tiny wings around. In other words, what the human species has been striving to accomplish for its entire existence.
What happens when birds get a hold of skateboards? You get #SkateBIRD – a game about skateboarding birds who are just trying their best!

The game looks im-peck-able, with all of the classic THPS gameplay accentuated with the little animations and mannerisms of birds moving about. While certainly an emusing concept, which has already left many of us at Nintendo Wire raven, time will tell how the gameplay stacks up against its contemp-bird-aries. (Okay, owl stop now.)
SkateBIRD launches in late 2020 for the Ninten-dove Switch, with currently no idea of how cheep it will be. We’ll wait to see if it gets a WonderSwan port — in the meantime, I’ll be tweeting about it.
