Nintendo is preparing to release Mario Kart Tour on mobile devices later this month, but that doesn’t mean Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has been forgotten. On September 22nd, Nintendo is hosting the Mario Kart North American Open, an online tournament that will run from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. PT.
Contestants can enter up to 24 150cc races during that time period to earn points on the overall leaderboard. On September 27th, Nintendo will award the top eight players 2,500 Gold My Nintendo points, which equates to $25 in discounts on the Switch eShop.
