In just a matter of days Pokémon Masters will be launching in full for iOS and Android devices, and a new video has been released that details what to expect from the game in its opening weeks.

For starters there’s the Launch Celebration, where players will get easier access to Gems – enough to Sync Pair Scout 10 times. You’ll also be able to undertake some missions that’ll grant items to help you out. This celebration will last till October 16th.

We’ll also see the first story event unfold starting September 3rd, and it’ll focus on Blue & Pidgeot, Flannery & Torkoal, and Misty & Starmie as they prepare to defeat the Elite Four member Bruno. You’ll be able to battle alongside Blue even if you haven’t unlocked him elsewhere. “Reach for the Top” will run till September 29th, but it will be re-run in the future.

Finally, we have confirmation that 65 sync pairs will be available in the game at launch, and more are on the way.

Pokémon Masters will launch on Thursday, August 29th.

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
