You know that feeling when a present’s coming your way, and even though you know you can’t unwrap it just yet, you know exactly what’s inside? That’s been Universal Studios Japan for a while now, ever since they broke ground to develop Super Nintendo World. The immersive themed area starring Mario and the Mushroom Kingdom has had concept art shown, sure, and it’s been under construction for a while. Sure, it’s just strata — but that’s Mushroom Kingdom strata, baby! Very much taking after the “New Super Mario” style of ground, it’s recognizable in its own way, even if it’s no Peach’s Castle. The video provides the view from multiple angles and areas as-is — surely a sign of progress towards Super Nintendo World’s expected opening in 2020.
