I always felt like one of the most overlooked aspects of Pokémon were the Professors. They’ve been more involved lately, sure, but we rarely get to see much… professoring. Now though, a new line of goods coming to Pokémon Centers will bring a little bit of that important study to your life with some wonderful art based on a few Gen I favorites.

The Pokémon Researcher collection focuses on Pikachu & Raichu, Vulpix & Ninetales; and the original legendary bird trio of Articuno, Zapdos, & Moltres. Each is rendered in two types of illustrations: one a gorgeous artistic representation of them, and the other looking like something out of a carefully sketched field notebook. While I’ve seen some spectacular fan content that evoked a similar design idea, these new goods look to embrace it on a more official level.

Whether you need something for day-to-day use or just want to gather up this gorgeous artwork in some capacity, the Pokémon Researcher collection will debut on August 24th in Pokémon Centers across Japan. Make sure to head to the dedicated page to check out all the items!
