The game’s not out yet but I can’t get enough of River City Girls. Thankfully, a new trailer’s gone up for Japan, and while it doesn’t go deep into new territory or info, there are a few bits that I haven’t seen before. That and it shows off more of this game’s colorful clobbering in action:
Early on in the trailer, at about the 0:15 mark, we get a look at what I’d wager are the boss characters and their introductory cutscenes. I actually got to face off with one of these during my hands on time with the game, so seeing that same attention applied to the lot is great. And starting at 1:05 Misako and Kyoko are doing a little shopping, letting us see the folks who’ll be supplying our pugilist pair with food, fighting moves, and more. Afterwards, there’s even a look at the phone based equipment menu, and some of the equipment you’ll be able to outfit the two with.
All of this together, along with the interspersed gameplay, has me counting down the days to River City Girls’ release on September 5th.
