Who says amiibo are dead? The official Nintendo New York Twitter account has announced that the store will be hosting an online amiibo challenge starting tomorrow, July 30th.

According to the tweet, a video will be released showing off an amiibo battle every evening. There’s no word on how many battles we can expect per day, how many amiibo will be included, or how long this tournament could potentially last — but we should know a bit more information on those details tomorrow.
If you happen to be a fan of Nintendo Wire on YouTube, you might be familiar with out own amiibo tournament series, Smash Supremacy. If that series has taught us anything, you can expect this new tournament to last a while. (Ours lasted 61 rounds!)
