New Gengar goods bringing slurps, surprises, and scares to Japan Pokémon Centers | Nintendo Wire

It’s easy to say that Gen I is the most popular of any group of Pokémon, and even in that group there are standouts. We’re practically drowning in Eevee related merchandise at this point, and the starters are a common sight for sure — but right there with them is this grinning Ghost that just can’t keep its tongue to itself.

Gengar is getting its own line of goods, and front and center is a plush with arms up and tongue out to remind you that Lick has and always will be a Ghost-type move. That said, the best part of the series (if you ask me) is the set of charms showing Gengar going about its day. Spookin’, sneakin’, muchin’ on dreams; it’s all second nature to this Pokémon.

You’ll find frequent goods available as well, such as phone cases, bags, and folders. Something a little more unique (and fitting) are reusable Gengar popsicle molds! Now you can have a ghostly chill of your own, perfect for summer. There’s also some new apparel, and even a hooded towel all focused on number 94.

All this mischievous merch will arrive in Pokémon Centers in Japan starting August 10th. You can check out the dedicated Gengar series page at the Japanese Pokémon Center to view the full selection of goods.

When he isn’t writing for Nintendo Wire, Ricky’s anticipating the next Kirby, Fire Emblem, or if the stars ever align, Mother 3 to be released. Till then he’ll have the warm comfort of Super Smash Bros. to keep him going.
