If you’re a fan of Nintendo’s pink puffball and have never browsed the Japanese Kirby website, you’re missing out. Full of info and images for Kirby and his closest friends, it’s my go-to source for things I wish I could buy but really shouldn’t.

A new section of the site has opened up, that being a library of Kirby’s trademark Copy Abilities. While it isn’t complete at this point, you can see various pieces of artwork for each ability, get a little description à la the pause menus in-game (in Japanese), a list of games that ability appeared in, and a short video of it in action across some of those games. If you’d rather not click through it all, there’s also a YouTube playlist of the videos to lose yourself in.

As of this writing, the list of abilities only gets partly through Kirby’s Adventure, with later abilities all the way up to Star Allies present by grayed out. There’s also a Special Abilities tab coming soon, presumably for game-specific skills like the Star Rod or Hypernova.

Keep an eye on the Kirby Portal as all those missing bits come in, and let us know what your favorite Copy Ability is below!

When he isn’t writing for Nintendo Wire, Ricky’s anticipating the next Kirby, Fire Emblem, or if the stars ever align, Mother 3 to be released. Till then he’ll have the warm comfort of Super Smash Bros. to keep him going.
