Ornaments. Not your typical gaming topic, unless we’re swapping methods on covering a Christmas tree with amiibo or craft from My Nintendo. Hallmark has been changing this notion over the last two years and has decided to go for a third. In anticipation for their “Christmas in July” ornament wave releases, the entire merchandise booklet (Dream Book catalog) for 2019 has been shared. Towards the end of the book is one whole page dedicated to a hero, villain, princess, and a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fighter that shocked us right out of a warp pipe.

The Super Mario Bros. franchise is taking over this year’s release of Nintendo-themed ornaments. Mario standing atop a warp pipe, Bowser ready to rumble and grumble, Piranha Plant hungry for string or ornament hooks, and Princess Peach about go for a stroll or fly away thanks to her parasol.

All four ornaments are $17.99 each and are split up into two release waves. Bowser and Princess Peach will be available starting July 13th, relaxing at a variety of castles to trip up Mario. The plumber will finally exit the proper warp pipe alongside Piranha Plant on October 5th. One last, but crucial detail is this – Piranha Plant will have a limited run. You don’t want to wait till December to purchase any of these ornaments, whether you have a Christmas tree or not.

This will be the third consectutive year that Hallmark has produced ornaments of Nintendo’s IPs. 2017 had Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi jumping for coin and brick blocks, and 2018 expanded into The Legend of Zelda and Donkey Kong but having Mario still there, racing to the finish line.

Be ready to wake up early and order the entire line on July 13th and October 5th.
