Reggie Fils-Aimé is stepping down from his position as President of Nintendo of America today. The initial announcement elicited shock and sadness, as he has been a staple of the company and community for years.

Yet, it appears that Reggie is going to stick around in other ways. Today, a brand new verified Twitter account has been revealed, and it belongs to Mr. Fils-Aimé. Judging by the handle, it appears that Twitter also stepped in and made a deal with whoever owned @Reggie previously (or it’s possible the handle was acquired a while back, behind closed doors).

Regardless, Reggie now has an online presence outside of Nintendo. Will he comment about Nintendo’s future announcements? That’s up in the air at the moment, but given his image choice, he’s fully prepared for all the memes he’s starred in over the years.
