Super Mario is a mega hit franchise for Nintendo, and as hard as they might try, the folks at Sony have never really been able to capture the same magic with any of their platforming games. Even so, charm can be found here and there within certain games from the company. LittleBigPlanet is a good example of just that: as Sony’s flagship platformer franchise, it features some really fantastic customization elements that have drawn players in for years.

Maybe out of desire to get Mario on the PlayStation, or maybe created due to a bet from a friend to see if it was even possible, LittleBigPlanet 3 user Claptrap9 made a level creator within a level creator — Super Mario Maker in LittleBigPlanet! From the music, to the assets, to the level testing, it’s all there. The physics don’t look as tight as a Mario game, but it’s still pretty impressive overall. Check it out for yourself!
