If you’re anything like me, you like your fandom merch to feel sleek, subtle, and modern. Sure, there’s something to be said about slapping a Triforce on a green t-shirt, but my preference is in designs where, if you don’t get it, it still looks just as good.

That’s why, as a massive Pokémon fan, I’ve recently fallen in love with the Thunderbolt Project by FRGMT & Pokémon.

The design collaboration is honestly one of my favorite Nintendo collaborations to date, with FRGMT taking elements of the Pokémon franchise and so perfectly incorporating them into their own style, that it feels natural. Primarily using black and white as their colors, the collection utilizes Pikachu amongst other Pokémon, and the Thunderbolt logo to perfectly reference both Pokémon’s mascot’s type, and the project itself.

The designs range from keychains and backpacks, to plushes and pullovers; and every single piece of merchandise has clearly been created with a lot of care, and love for Pokémon as a whole. If you’re interested in checking out some of the collection, the official Instagram account for the collab is @tb_project, where they post and repost tons of pictures and images about the project.

It’s definitely worth the follow!
