On this wonderful Friday morning, Ryan Reynolds (Mr. Detective Pikachu himself) posted a new Pokémon: Detective Pikachu trailer on his social media accounts. It’s only a 30-second clip, perfect for commercials and ads, but don’t skip this one. There are a few new scenes mixed into this cut, and elaborating on even more Pokémon references if you look close enough.

Electabuzz, Articuno, Kangaskhan, and Mew make appearances in the background, as part of a graphics package for the upcoming Pokémon parade that takes place at the film’s climax. Look even closer at the craft services table in the same scene and you can spy a plate full of Poké Puffs. It’s the little nods like these that gives us hope that the first “successful” video game movie may be Detective Pikachu.

Two other new scenes are present, but I don’t want to spoil them. Ryan Reynolds’ charm and smart-aleck humor shines brighter than a thunderbolt here.

Pokémon: Detective Pikachu will be in theaters starting May 10th and hopefully smash some box office records during its debut.
