Thursday’s reveal in the Detective Pikachu TCG themed lineup is… Detective Pikachu himself! Okay, this promo card wasn’t a complete surprise. GameStop didn’t mean to steal this Electric-type’s thunder, but their pre-order listings did spoil the reveal if you were looking in the right place.

Unlike the previous promo cards this week, this card of Detective Pikachu pondering when his next pot of coffee is done brewing won’t be free. He’ll be tucked inside the Pokémon TCG: Detective Pikachu Special Case File. Priced at $9.99, the bundle will include the following evidence:
- 1 promo card featuring Detective Pikachu – on the case!
- 1 metallic coin inspired by Detective Pikachu
- 2 Pokémon TCG: Detective Pikachu booster packs
- 1 Pokémon TCG: Sun & Moon Series booster pack
- A Detective Pikachu 4-pocket binder
- 1 code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online
Despite this reconfirmation, we do know where Bulbasaur, Psyduck, and Snubbull will be released. When this will actually happen is still up in the air, but at least now we know we should wait on further updates from Walmart (Bulbasaur), Target (Psyduck), and GameStop (Snubbull). For a complete list of retailers in participating countries, the official Pokémon site has an extensive list available.
Now that the entire set has been revealed, will you crack open a Case File and some packs? April 5th will be here soon — and select sets can be pre-ordered at GameStop now.
