The Pokémon Company is rolling out a surprise new mobile app for iOS and Android devices, starting in Sweden.

As reported by Serebii, the Pokémon Trading Card Game Card Dex lets you catalog and track your collection of cards, though it only has cards from Sun & Moon onward right now. This cataloging can be done by either by searching and checking a box, or more impressively, scanning the card itself with your phone’s camera.

It’s only available in Sweden right now, but there’s support for English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, and Brazilian Portuguese languages, suggesting a worldwide release is on the way. Check out a video walkthrough from Serebii below:

Always excited to see something a little bit different, Tom is ready to report on games of all shapes and sizes, whether they be wonderful or weird (or, better yet, both.) Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.

Who will use it all collectors have already their platform for card libraries. The Pokemon Company are always a few step behind when it comes to community feedback. Pokecollectot, TCG Trade and the list has no end. I don’t see what they could add to the app to make it stand out.
