Netflix is developing a Resident Evil television series, as first reported by Deadline. The show reportedly has no cast or release date yet, but Deadline reported that, “the drama series will explore the dark inner workings of the Umbrella Corporation and the new world order caused by the outbreak of the T-virus.”

This isn’t Resident Evil’s first foray away from video games. The series has a 6-film movie franchise, which will potentially get a reboot soon.

Lending some credence to this partnership is the fact Netflix is already working with Capcom on a Devil May Cry animated series.
