Today Sega’s begun a little followup to their previous, Sonic based animation project. Sonic Mania Adventures may be over, but its music is coming back through a series of remixes courtesy of longtime composer for the series Jun Senoue, and Mania’s own composer Tee Lopes. They’re collaborating to take tracks from the animated special (which are based on the games) and give their own spin to them, with the first of these available now.

The first track is from the “Big Arms” final boss of Sonic 3, bringing a hard-hitting track back again. No word on when the rest will come, though hopefully the wait isn’t very long. They’ll range from Classics like this to more recent titles, such as Sonic Mania itself. Once all’s said and done, we’ll have five remixes to listen through, four from the pair of Senoue and Lopes, and one solo effort by Tee Lopes. Keep an eye on the official Sonic Twitter and YouTube pages, or right here at Nintendo Wire.
