Looking for a little inspiration for your Pokémon merchandise collection?
If the answer is yes, then you might want to take a look at what is affectionately referred to as the “Pika Poké Room.”
This Pikachu inspired room was featured on the Instagram account @pkmntrans, though the actual room belongs to Twitter user @hinopika. This Pikachu megafan appropriately featured the room on the #showmeyourpokeroom hashtag as a way to show off the beautiful admiration for Pokémon’s one-and-only mascot, and I can’t help but admit that I’m a little really impressed by it.
And maybe a little jealous.

Recently a popular magazine here in Japan featured a fan’s amazing Pikachu themed room! Endearingly referred to as the Pika Poke Room, @hinopika (Twitter) has amassed an amazing collection that cost roughly 8 million yen ($72,394 USD). It’s a true testament to one’s love for Pokémon! • Show off your own Pokémon Collection with the hashtag #showmeyourpokeroom or even add on the original Japanese hashtag with #みんなの部屋のポケモン事情教えてよ • If you do, please feel free to tag me @Edolister as I would love to see! • Translation credit: @PKMNtrans @Edolister Photo credit: @hinopika (Twitter)
(Make sure to scroll through all the photos to check out different angles of the room!)
According to hinopika, the collection itself in total cost about 8 million yen (yes, million), which comes out to around $72,394 USD. Quite the amount of dedication, if you ask me.
Personally, this is absolutely something I’d love to have in my own home. Is it something you can picture yourself doing, or do you prefer a more understated display of fandom?
Either way, props to you hinopika. Props to you.
P.S. Can you spot the non-Pika intruders throughout the room? We count 19!
