Kirby’s upcoming return to Patch Land is bringing some new bits and baubles to the already tightly knit adventure. Among those are Kirby’s new Ravel abilities: tools that look to be in place to help with certain sections. While just as craftily themed as the rest of the game, some look to be Copy copies to bring a little more Dream Land flair to Extra Epic Yarn.

We’ve already seen a couple of these in the game’s announcement: Knitting Needle and Nylon. These will let Kirby toss extra large yarn balls and get a little floatier with his jumps respectively. Nylon’s twirls and hat call to mind both Tornado and Ice Kirby too, though unique to it will be the ability to draw in beads.

Next are Wire and Button, two abilities with clear inspiration. The tightly wound and shining Wire ability brings Kirby a sword, even if it’s looking a little more like a paperclip as-is. Mind the edges, everything around you’s pretty soft and delicate after all. Button’s bringing some destruction in a different way, tossing out explosives to mimic the long standing Bomb ability.

Last up, we’ve got Bobbin and Pin Cushion. For enemies just out of reach, throwing out a Bobbin Yo-Yo can be just the trick. And with an adorable pin cushion hat, Kirby’ll be able to toss small, sharp projectiles in multiple directions.

It should be a treat to see just how creative the game gets with these new abilities, as the rest of the game was stuffed full of wonder. You can see for yourself when Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn comes to 3DS on March 8th.
