A new Japanese trailer has been released for the 3DS remake of Bowser’s Inside Story, and besides teaching me just how punctuation heavy its full title is compared to Japan’s, it puts both of its halves under the microscope.

Just like Superstar Saga on 3DS, we’re getting a full remake of the DS RPG. Not only do you get to play as Mario & Luigi and Bowser, you get to play as Mario & Luigi in Bowser. It offers some fun moments and gameplay synergy, while also raising so many questions on turtle-dragon biology.

As for Bowser Jr.’s Journey, it’ll play similarly to the Bowser’s Minions mode of its remade prequel. You’ll form squadrons of baddies, though this time with BowJu in the captain’s chair.

We also get a peek of the game’s amiibo features. It looks like we’ll be getting items via tapping, which is a bit of a step back from the last game’s stamp collecting. We’ll see for ourselves when Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story & Bowser Jr.’s Journey releases on January 11th.
