Time to speculate — the Pokémon Company is hiring for several positions slated to develop an upcoming mobile game. Details about said game are currently nonexistent, as the job posting offer no hint of the content or genre of the mobile title, so it’s unclear whether it will be some sort of GO successor or spinoff, a more traditional Pokémon experience, or something completely different. (Match-3 puzzler? Cookie clicker? Gacha casino ridiculousness?)
While Pokémon GO is by far the most well known title of theirs on mobile, there are a number of other titles that are extant, such as Pokémon Shuffle, Pokémon Quest, Pokémon Duel, Pokémon TCG Online, and of course Magikarp Jump. As a result, we’ll just have to wait and see what TPC is cooking up next.
