With how many weeks the Smash Blog has been around I was starting to wonder when we’d see this composer come up, but the wait has come to an end in a fantastic fashion. A new arrangement has finally come from the man who brought music to Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda, Koji Kondo.
Another song from Super Mario Bros. 3, this time it’s King Bowser himself rather than a mere Fortress Boss getting the Smash Bros. treatment. The steady rhythm brings to mind plenty of Kondo’s previous work, but the driving force is that guitar. Evocative of the Koopa King himself, it’s a different flavor of fight song that still fits right in with this ever growing soundtrack.
