The biggest draw of Fire Emblem Heroes for me has always been the combination of a lite take on the series’ core gameplay and gathering up some of my favorite characters from each title. The second part gets a little complicated with the game having its own batch of original characters, though their fans will be happy to see that two more of them will be available very soon.

A representative of both nations at the heart of Fire Emblem Heroes’ Book II storyline will enter the pool of summonable characters. From the cold and snow-brushed Nifl comes Ylgr, youngest sister of Fjorm and a blue dagger wielder. She looks to be an extra speedy character with a unique skill that can let her target Resistance instead of Defense if you position her right.

As for the ravaged and molten realm of Muspell, Surtr himself will become available. King of the realm, he strikes an imposing figure as an armored axe and maintains his powerful skills from his recurring role as an enemy. That means being able to inflict damage and debuffs to anyone near to him, and plenty of defensive skills to hold off most attackers.

Strangely enough, these two are the only characters on the Focus this time around. That’s good news for anyone aiming for these two, and further signals the end of a chapter of the mobile game. Hopefully soon we’ll see the previously teased Book III and a whole host of new Fire Emblem faces, but for now you can test your luck with these two starting November 21st.
