While we’ve had plenty of Japanese Persona Q2 trailers focusing on the heroes of the collossal cross-over, we’ve yet to really see much of the game’s villains. With this latest trailer from Atlus Japan, we have a pretty good idea how one of them will turn out.

As the game’s subtitle, New Cinema Labyrinth, implies, the Phantom Thieves of Persona 5 are dropped into a urban cityscape “protected” by Kamoshidaman, one of the first villains they faced in their own game. In the Persona 5 story his alternate metaverse self was king of his own castle, but in Persona Q2 he’s donning the spandex and cape of a retro superhero.

Hopefully even more familiar Persona faces will pop up in the other dungeons! We’re sure to find out more as we rapidly approach the game’s November 29th Japanese release date.

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
