Just a few weeks to go now till Wario’s return to micro game madness, and to build up the hype Nintendo has released a new demo on the European eShop.

It features four modes, one focusing on button controls, the second on twisting the system, and the third on touch. The fourth brings them all together for an extra challenge. There’s also a whole lot of Charles Martinet talking as Wario, which is worth a look in and of itself.

Most intriguingly, though, completing each mode gives you a little feature run-down of the full game and it sounds jam-packed with content. Not only are bigger minigames unlocked, like the always brilliant Pyoro, but there are extra challenge modes, including a take on Game & Wario’s sneaky Gamer! The amiibo support is also alluded to, with Wario seemingly sketching the figures in an unlockable bonus.

WarioWare Gold launches in Europe on July 27th while North America has to wait till August 3rd. Hopefully the demo will release across the pond soon!

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
