Looking through the line up of already announced Assist Trophies, Krystal’s right there with Bomberman as one I thought really could’ve made the jump to playable. With a staff based moveset full of the techniques from her debut in Star Fox Adventures, she’d have stood out not just from the current Star Fox lineup but the Smash Bros. roster as a whole. But here we are, with her in as an Assist instead.
From #StarFox Adventures, Krystal comes to Super #SmashBrosUltimate as an Assist Trophy. In addition to attacking with her staff, she also uses an Ice Blast to freeze fighters. pic.twitter.com/IjiOewdLo9

Looks like she’ll be using that staff after all, not just to attack but to fire Ice Blasts. Plenty of Pokemon can freeze fighters but this is one of the few Assist Trophy to get in on the arctic action. The Assist Trophies spotted in the E3 build of Smash are winding down, meaning we might soon be seeing some new faces join the lineup ahead of the game’s December 7th release.
