Just as I thought I might be able to hang onto my stockpile of Orbs for a little while longer, Fire Emblem Heroes decides to sneak up on me with some new characters from a very special game. It’s 2003 and after having wondered who pretty blue sword and fire red sword were in Super Smash Bros. Melee, I decide to pick up Fire Emblem on the GBA and immediately fall in love. So here we go, with some new faces from America’s first in the series coming to my mobile obsession.

That’s three new characters to try your luck for via summoning: Karla, Legault, and a new version of Nino. Of the three the biggest draw for me is definitely Nino, who’s been doing her best ever since the earliest days of the game and was always one of my all time favorites after her debut. Karla looks to have some great skills under her sash though, and Legault was always my preferred thief, so all three are welcome in one way or another.

As a little sneak peak, it looks like we may be getting Canas as well. As the only dark mage from Blazing Blade he always found a way into my army, usually right around the end with a Luna tome for some reason. Having him back will be a treat, and rounding out the new additions will be Linus, one of the Four Fangs in the Black Fang assassin guild. That makes him the last one to arrive in game after Ursula, Jaffar, and Lloyd all made their debut last year.

You won’t have to wait long for these: the Scattered Fangs summoning focus begins on June 8th. Linus’ Grand Hero Battle will follow shortly after on June 12th. As for Canas there’s no word on when he’ll arrive or how he’ll do so, but it shouldn’t be much longer after that. If you’re like me and just gotta have one of these new characters, then to you I say – good luck!

When he isn’t writing for Nintendo Wire, Ricky’s anticipating the next Kirby, Fire Emblem, or if the stars ever align, Mother 3 to be released. Till then he’ll have the warm comfort of Super Smash Bros. to keep him going.
