Nintendo hasn’t run out of new things to show for the upcoming Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion, and this time around it’s all about fresh styles for the trendiest of squid kids. At least it would be, if these cuts weren’t meant for the new cephalopod crew rolling onto the scene.

There’s one new cut shown for Octoling girls and boys. The short, high ponytail really suits the girl and looks great with an accompanying hat. That said, there’s nothing wrong with letting that Octoling flag fly while you show off those suckers.
The boys, on the other hand, are getting an afro style. Seeing the hairstyle shift and stretch based on what you’re wearing with it is a nice touch, and the fact that it’s more than likely based on an octopus’ own head makes it the perfect aquatic addition.
Look forward to these and more when the Octo Expansion drops later this summer.
