Sitting proudly at the top of my list of Fire Emblem games I’d like to see remade is Genealogy of the Holy War. A multi-generational tale of war, political turmoil, and the effects they have on people it’s one of the biggest FE games around, and I don’t just mean its maps. Thanks to Heroes, some of the key players of its plot and their allies have made the jump from Jugdral to mobile, and now three more join the ranks.

First we have Ares, son of Eldigan. Wielding a different version of Mysteltainn he rides into battle as a new sword cavalry. Not far behind is Lene, also with sword in tow but instead as a new dancer. Rounding out the three is Ishtar, with the powerful blue tome Mjolnir. Though she may oppose you in her original game, she’s still just as able to fight by your side here.

These three will come along with a brand new Focus starting May 10th. They aren’t the only ones though, as shortly after on May 14th Julius, son of Arvis, will be featured in a Grand Hero Battle. It’s a chance to both bolster your barracks and give some needed attention and appreciation to an unlocalized gem of the series. For those summoning for these heroes (and keeping their fingers crossed for a Genealogy Echoes) – good luck!

When he isn’t writing for Nintendo Wire, Ricky’s anticipating the next Kirby, Fire Emblem, or if the stars ever align, Mother 3 to be released. Till then he’ll have the warm comfort of Super Smash Bros. to keep him going.
