Floor Kids has been one of my go to eShop standouts ever since it released. An easy to understand, head-to-head rhythm games steeped in b-boy culture and style, it’s one of a kind and easy to love.

At least it was for me, which is why I’m excited to say that the game’s soundtrack is going to be available both digitally and on vinyl in a couple months. Featuring sweet baselines, infectious beats, and excellent sampling it’s the kind of soundtrack you can let drift in and out of your headspace. And with 74 tracks, there’ll be plenty of that for sure.

If you want to get a taste, a single’s been released in the form of Five Stop Stomp, which you might recognize from the game’s trailers. Give it a listen, see how it feels, and look forward to the rest of Floor Kids’ soundtrack coming in hot on April 27th.

When he isn’t writing for Nintendo Wire, Ricky’s anticipating the next Kirby, Fire Emblem, or if the stars ever align, Mother 3 to be released. Till then he’ll have the warm comfort of Super Smash Bros. to keep him going.
