Happy Valentine’s Day… or Single Awareness Day… or Galentine’s Day! However you want to celebrate February 14th, the North American Pokémon Center site has a few new goodies you can buy. Whether you’re looking for a gift for someone else or yourself, all this new merch is well worth taking a look at! Let’s see what’s new for 2018 and what items are returning from previous years.

I CHOOSE YOU

The Pokémon Center’s Valentine’s Day cards are offered in new designs this year and include some extra special flair. With a pin of a beloved Pokémon and a cute saying, you can gift something that will last longer than candy. 2018’s edition features Pikachu, Rowlet, Mew, Mewtwo and Charmander. The set of five is $19.99 — and keep in mind that you can tear off the individual cards or keep them together as a set!

MEW AND MEWTWO

The featured power couple for this holiday are Mew and Mewtwo. Given how punny their names can be in the proper context, it’s perfect. They’re the stars of “matching set” products: First up is a pair of coffee mugs for $24.99; the next features the same pattern on a pair of socks, priced at $12.50.

SOMETHING OLD, BUT JUST AS NEW

Rounding out the merch is a lovey-dovey plush from the Pikachu Celebrations line. With two Pikachus together, holding together a heart bouquet of roses, the eight inch plush is $24.99 and has 22 five star reviews to back up how cute it is.

Lastly, my personal favorite is making a return this year: the Slowpoke Valentine’s Day t-shirt. With humor, proclaim your love for this holiday by being a Slowpoke and wishing all a Happy New Year. A shirt that keeps on giving, this is the perfect present for a snarky friend who loves to positively troll this holiday.

There’s a chance that more items will be added to this year’s Valentine’s Day line, whether they include previous products from last year or other pieces that fit in with this year’s theme and mascots. We’ll be checking in throughout the week to see what the Pokémon Center will have in stock — but until then, hopefully these five items are a good starting point when it comes to shopping for February 14th.
