The Nintendo Switch is filled with fantastic indie games, that much is obvious at this point, but its sometimes easy to forget just how well these smaller titles are performing on the system. The latest success story? Blossom Tales, the little gem that’s not too shy about showing its Zelda influences.
Digital game publisher FDG Entertainment shared the good news via Twitter, revealing that in just one day on the Switch eShop Blossom Tales doubled its lifetime Steam sales. Bear in mind the PC version came out at the end of March.
Woah! #BlossomTales sold double the amount of units on #Switch launch day vs. lifetime sales on #Steam (!) Big thanks to the #NintendoSwitch community and @NintendoAmerica @NintendoEurope ! We love you! Happy Holidays!! Congrats to the team @castlepixel @visagermusic @Tendurin pic.twitter.com/6SGh7FS3xb

Given the game’s Zelda influences it naturally finds itself at home on a Nintendo platform. Here’s hoping even more indie developers see the potential!
