Dust off your construction caps and tighten your overalls, all ye Mushroom Kingdom faithful: a special surprise is creeping up the Warp Pipe in Super Mario Maker. Plucky plumbers can currently experience a piece of Nintendo history by leaping through the finals course featured in this year’s Nintendo World Championships.

Simply boot up Super Mario Maker on Wii U, head to the Course World select screen and tap that Toad to be taken to the current list of Event Courses where this month’s NWC 2017 should be sittin’ pretty right up top. Remember to save it to the Course Bot, too, as there’s no telling how long it’ll stay readily available for your playing pleasure (especially if you plan to tweak it in more devilishly difficult fashion).

As any course crafting crackerjack knows, this isn’t the first time players could put their goomba stompin’ skills to the test. In fact, all four 2015 championship stages can be unlocked by simply beating all sample courses in 10 Mario Challenge.

So what do you think, fellow mustached maniacs? Will you be dusting off your Wii Us to rise amongst the ranks of legendary Nintendo World Champions John Numbers and Thomas Gonda? Think you’ve got the mushrooms to beat my indomitable time of 1:58:683? Was that last jab foreshadowing for this weekend’s Speedrun Sunday? Sound off in the comments!
