It looks like you’ll be able to start your harvest before the end of 2017 after all. After Chucklefish’s CEO, Tiy, tweeted out that we’ll be getting some Stardew Valley news sometime today, the tease was almost immediately followed with an update on the official site and a followup tweet containing confirmation about a release date from the company.

Yup, you read that right! Stardew Valley will be coming to the Switch on October 5th, which is just three short days away from today. Priced at $14.99, fans of the game and newcomers alike will be able to farm to their hearts’ content.
This is one amazing farming game and having it on the Nintendo Switch will be fantastic for on-the-go fun. We’ll finally have a title that will rival the highest total game time next to Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
