Enjoying Pokémon GO’s latest event? Unfortunately, some players were unable to log in yesterday, which resulted in them losing out on gathering all the Stardust they could carry and more while hatching 2KM eggs at lightning fast speed. Niantic solved the issue last night and announced that the Equinox event would be extended by a full 24 hours.

The new end date for the event is October 3rd at 1:00 p.m. PT | 4:00 p.m. ET. Use that extra day to gather and hatch all the eggs you can!

Celebrating the change of a new season (fall for the Northern Hemisphere and spring for the Southern Hemisphere), Niantic announced today via Pokémon GO’s social media channels that we’ll have a new event.

Starting minutes before the Fall Equinox begins in North America, the event will begin on 1:00 p.m. PT | 4:00 p.m. ET on Friday, September 22nd. For nearly a week and a half, double the Stardust will be distributed when catching Pokémon and hatching eggs. As an incentive, special 2KM eggs will be available. If you have a spot open in your collection of eggs, these 2KM eggs can hatch into Chansey, Mareep, Larvitar and more at spinning PokéStops and ones located on Gyms. Fingers crossed that the entire 10KM egg list of hard to catch Pokémon make up the rest of the coveted spots. If you end up catching or hatching a new Pokémon in your Pokédex, then not only will you be one step closer to catching them all, but you’ll earn three times the experience during this event.

For those waiting for any of the special bundles to appear back in the shop, there will be a few for sale during the event. Niantic didn’t touch on the specifics other than “[L]ucky Eggs, Lure Modules, and all-new Super Incubators which hatch Eggs 1.5 times quicker” will be included.

You’ll have until Monday, October 2nd, at 1:00 p.m. PT | 4:00 p.m. ET to reap these benefits and rewards — which is great timing for the Legendary Dog migration that’ll kick off with the shift to October!
