UPDATE: A press release from Nintendo of America has confirmed the US branch will also be stocking the SNES Classic into 2018 and bring back the NES Classic next summer.
This is sure to be a relief to many retro game fans – Nintendo of Europe has confirmed that not only will the SNES Classic continue to be stocked into 2018 but the NES Classic will be making a return next summer, too.
The news comes via two tweets that have been re-iterated across various European regional accounts…
We’re happy to confirm that we’ll continue to ship stock of #SNESmini to Europe in 2018.

This is a major shift, considering Nintendo has previously stated that the NES Classic was meant to be a 2016 holiday exclusive item.
