Happy Friday, everyone! It’s time to catch up on Splatoon 2’s latest updates.

VERSION 1.3.0

Before you ask, yes, the Tri-Slosher is nerfed. You’re welcome. Thank you, Squid Research Lab.

Sorry, Tri-Slosher Mains. Maximum damage has been dropped to 52.0 from 62.0. The firing range has also been modified, reduced by about 9%. That’s not the only fix though! Other notable tweaks include Splatfest tee’s having their experience bars redone for sub abilities. Each slot will be 7,500 experience points to unlock, making the process of maxing out the tee a tad faster with shaving off 1,500 experience points. Salmon Run has been perfected yet again, as well as inkage points being decreased or increased for various specials. For the full patch notes, you can check out Nintendo’s support page for the game.

YOUR FIRST WEAPON, BUT WITH A TWIST

The Splattershot Jr. is the first weapon you’re bestowed with in Splatoon 2, and even so, it does extremely well in Ranked Mode. While being basic might be the best, having some other choices for subs and special weapons would be neat. Enter: the Custom Splattershot Jr. This shooter is bundled with Autobomb as its sub-weapon and Ink Storm as its special. So much for defending, as this combination screams search and destroy, woomy.

SOAKING UP THAT KETCHUP AND MAYO FOR SOME FRIES AND NUGGETS

Japan’s Splatfest of McDonald’s French Fries vs. Chicken Nuggets is taking place this weekend. The region wasn’t part of last week’s matchup of Team Flight vs. Team Invisibility, and as such, it seems like Shifty Station is getting a whole new layout! Sponges are in this setup. While it might be hard to tell, like Team Flight vs. Team Invisibility, this version seems to be in close quarters, too. Here’s hoping that sponges will grace North America and Europe’s future Shifty Station layouts.

YOUR SQUIDLY PSA: SPLATOON 2 SWITCH BUNDLE

It’s September 8th, the first day that the Nintendo Switch bundle of our dreams hits Walmart’s store shelves. The webpage for the bundle has yet to be reinstated, so good luck if you’re looking to pick one up today — may Callie and Marie bless you.

I wonder if Spyke or Murch have some for sale, too… Anyone have some Super Sea Snails?
