If you’re like me, you remember watching Ash Ketchum start his journey way back when. The not-so-smooth first outing with Pikachu played a huge part in giving the show an identity beyond the original game’s own progression. While it’s hit Japanese theaters already, Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You will be distributed in America in just a few months time.

You can check out the first look at the dubbed movie in the new teaser trailer.

It looks like the movie makes Ash a little more mature (or at least positive) about how he handles Pikachu’s rejection, and will give some added importance to the encounter with Ho-oh. If you listen to the end you might catch a familiar sounding song as well to get you hyped for the movie’s debut on November 5th.
