Known for its past work on various Mega Man games and its own, more recent IP Azure Striker Gunvolt, Inti Creates has plenty of experience when it comes to sci-fi type settings. The company’s newly revealed title looks to change that familiarity up with something leaning deeper into dark fantasy territory with the same, beautiful sprite work its past games have brought along.
It’ll be a 2D action RPG featuring up to four-person multiplayer, both locally and online. You’ll be forging pacts with dragons in order to strengthen yourself and take on its 30 quests. Classes like Warrior, Empress, Shinobi and Witch will offer you various ways to approach the game with their focuses on different strengths and abilities. I’m having flashbacks to games like Golden Axe or even the more recent Dragon’s Crown just writing about this. All of this is coming from staff members who’ve worked on the Mega Man Zero and ZX games as well as Gunvolt, making this one stand out even among similar fantasy titles.
You’ll be able to party up and dive into Dragon: Marked for Death when it releases this winter exclusively on Switch.
