Pokkén Tournament ended up being my favorite part of this year’s Pokémon World Championship, with some exciting matches and talent on display. The surprise announcement of a demo for its enhanced Switch version got me more excited than I thought I’d be, and now we know exactly when it’ll be live.

That’s right, it’ll be a day and some change from this writing when we’ll be able to jump in and start practicing for launch. No word on which Pokémon will be playable, but as long as Decidueye makes it, I’ll be able to get used to the new Alolan archer asap.
