If you’re in the Anaheim area this weekend, for the Pokémon World Championship or otherwise, it might be worth it to get around on foot. As revealed during the opening ceremony for the event, region exclusive Pokémon Kangaskhan will be available in the area for the span of this weekend in Pokémon GO. Normally locked to Australia, this is a great chance for players to catch what would otherwise require a 17 hour flight and handfuls of cash.

On the flipside, if you’ve traveled to Southern California from out of the country or haven’t gotten our own North American exclusive, this is the perfect time to catch Tauros as well. It’ll be stampeding around in greater numbers to add to the festivities.

This isn’t the first time Pokémon GO has presented regional Pokémon during events, with South American Heracross having appeared in Chicago in July, and Japan having had a chance at European Mr. Mime during the Pikachu Outbreak in Yokohama earlier this month. Fingers crossed more of these events find their way overseas and across borders.
