Nintendo knows what the people want: a second Metroid title was revealed during Treehouse Live! This will be a 2D return to form for the series, serving as an official reimagining of Metroid II from the original Game Boy.
Adding to the excitement, amiibo functionality was confirmed during the demo via the UI. Likewise, some of the original composers of Super Metroid’s music will be returning to the game to keep that iconic sound intact. Maintaining the isolation and exploration of the Metroid series, the game will be coming to 3DS September 15th this year.
