It’s no stretch to say that Nintendo’s putting a lot of faith in ARMS, especially with a full tournament for the upcoming game taking the stage at E3. This eight player tourney will be half open, half invitational. Anyone attending E3 has a shot at one of the four open slots to take on their fellow play-in participants, as well as four pros chosen by Nintendo: Alex “Calipower” Valle, SuperGirlKels, Kayane and Daniel “Tafokints” Lee. These four have made names for themselves in the likes of Smash, Street Fighter and other fighting games, so it’s sure to be a real knockout of an event.
The winner won’t just be taking home glory, though. In becoming the 2017 ARMS Open Invitational champion they’ll also win a replica of the ARMS Grand Prix championship belt, a one-of-a-kind prize for a one-of-a-kind player. Anyone who’s going to be be there has no reason not to give it a shot — after all, it could be you!
