The ARMS and Splatoon 2 Twitter accounts for Nintendo of Japan’s division sure are busy, for both accounts seem to have fallen into the habit of posting daily. Today we get another sneak peek into the Octarian enemies we’ll be facing off in the game’s story mode, “Hero Mode.”
映像では確認できなかった、新たなタコの情報も得た。
こいつの名前は「スタコラー」。
その名の通り、スタコラサッサと逃げ回りながら、ボムをまき散らす厄介なヤツだ。

Behold! Octarians can now drop a splat bomb and flee, as if they were on roller skates. Thanks to Japanese Nintendo, the name for this member of the Octarian army is “Sutakora.” A further breakdown of the name here at Nintendo Wire, courtesy of Ricky Berg, shows the punny nature. Its name comes from a word that describes the way it scurries away in a panic, which also conveniently features the term for octopus (tako) right in the middle.
Given this info and clip, it looks like we’ll have to chase down these guys while avoiding splat bombs that could take us out. We can’t wait to rise to the challenge on July 21st!
