The Pokémon Company has just sent out a press release confirming many details regarding Pokkén Tournament’s 2017 Summer Championship Series.

The series will consist of three qualifier events followed by the grand finale World Championships in Anaheim, California on August 19th. The first qualifier will take place on June 16-18 in Orlando, Florida at the CEO Fighting Game Championships. European gamers, meanwhile, can head over to Jönköping, Sweden between June 17-18 at Dreamhack Summer 2017.

A last chance qualifier will take place on August 18th, the day before the World Championships at the Anaheim, California venue.

The top 8 players in each qualifier will receive a cash prize while the top 4 will get an invite and travel sponsorship to the World Championships. 16 players will form the final line-up, with several invitations being sent to players from Japan. The final prize pool will be $25,000.
