Shantae’s come a long way from her late Game Boy roots, but the half genie’s popularity shouldn’t come as a surprise. That love extends beyond oceans it seems, as thanks to a tweet by series creator Matt Bozon, WayForward is going to be partnering with Volks Inc. to release a Shantae CharaGumin figure. There’s no images of a prototype yet, but the illustration provided may give some hint as to the sort of pose and style they’re going for.

CharaGumin figures are typically very customizable and need to be put together (the name essentially means Character + Assembly.) Other licenses include Puyo Puyo, Xenosaga, Disgaea and more.

Look forward to more from WayForward and Shantae in the future, and let us know if you’re excited at the idea of giving up some shelf space for the hair whipping, belly dancing hero.
