Ever Oasis was a surprising announcement back at E3 2016, and now as we come closer to 2017’s event we’re getting bigger looks at the upcoming RPG. A new hands-on video from IGN lets us see what goes into a quest in this desert-dwelling adventure.
There’s a lot to see and admire throughout the footage. The character designs were always catching before, but seeing them in motion and how battles unfold adds a whole new layer to that admiration now. While desert settings can often be a drag in games, watching the sunset and nightfall across the dunes makes the familiar setting more lovely.
The idea of actively attempting to develop an oasis from within a desert has me willing to take on this virtual life in such an extreme climate, especially if it means helping and connecting with plenty of others in the game’s world.
You can look forward to more Ever Oasis when it launches for the 3DS on June 23rd.
